A new dwelling in the heart of St Ives, Cornwall. This site proved very challenging due to the topography of the site. Our clients wanted to achieve 4 double bedrooms and 3 Bathrooms. We managed to achieve all of our clients wish list split over 3 different levels.
New Dwelling finished in St Ives. There was an existing semi detached dwelling on the site which was suffering from subsidence due to a mine shaft directly underneath. The mining works were all sorted and this new dwelling was built in its place.
This proposal was for a contemporary extension to an old Cottage in an amazing location on Cliff Road, Porthleven with un-interupted views out to sea. The site already had 2 application refused and an appeal dismissed so this involved extensive talks with the council to gain an approval.

This was a bungalow with a bedroom in the roof with very little headroom. After consultation with the clients it was decided to raise the roof of the property and convert it to 2 dwellings of contemporary design. This would take full advantage of the fantastic views across St Ives Harbour.
This proposal is for a new partly underground dwelling on the sought after headland of Hawkes Point, Carbis Bay.
